I am looking for some good ideas on designing a hinge for the frame horns that will allow cap to slide forward an inch and a half before tilting so the fenders will clear latches. Door latches and posts from donor truck provide hidden hardware on sides instead of typical hood pins. Will post pics as soon as I can. Any input will be appreciated......

I have done two tilts in the past, one 69 dart and one 70 nova. I assume you are trying to keep from cutting the fenders? The only solution I could think of was a square tube within a slightly smaller square tube design. Basically like a tool box drawer slider but with square tubing. The down side here is pulling the front end forward..what do you pull on?? Making a hinge that will pull away and tilt? If you could find an application that gave that movement you could reproduce it to larger scale and it would probably work. I will check some things and see if I can find a design that gives the movement you are looking for.

I do plan to cut the fenders but the adventurer se chrome that runs the lower body line is about three inches wide and that will be used to hide the cut line. The out before tilt is to allow it to slide on and off the door latches (and posts from donor truck) that will hold the fenders at the sides. My intent is to use as much vintage mopar metal and hardware as possible to create a one off custom as Ma Mopar herself would have.
