Looking for either one, I'm more fond of the Demon, but the Duster's a close second. I don't want to sound cheap, but I'm looking for something in the 2k range. Would like a bit of a project car, but all I ask for is something with a solid body at least.

I'm not aware of any Demons for sell (actually, not aware of anyone here that owns one!). However, I always check the newspaper, so if I spot one I'll try to post here...if you are from the Huntsville area.

Yeah, I noticed in just looking for pics of Demons, it's slim pickins. I'm not too far from Huntsville, so any help is appreciated, thanks.

Also, a Dart Sport would do in a pinch

wow, that Demon looks nice! Think I'd have quite a time convincing my girlfriend that a 414 mile trip is worth it though

Checked Craigslist last night, found '74 Dart 50 miles from here. If I get an email back on it, I might look at it this weekend. And in this morning's paper, I spotted a '73 Dodge Dart Swinger, somewhere in Ga., it's a 706 area code.

Found another last night, a '73 Duster, with factory Sunroof (didn't know their was such a thing) It's a little out of my price range, but I hope to at least see it in person.

well, last weekend was a bust for car hunting of any kind, with snow in the higher elevations, and just being downright cold. Plus the '73 I had in mind is missing the drivers side glass, so that would shorten the test drive.
But I did manage to get myself a '71 Demon on Monday.
Viper Yellow Black 340 pin stripes tinted windows and glass dual hood scoops dual exhaust all this for $1.09.... yeah, it was the Hotwheels variety ;D

Score! ;D
Look on the bright side...at least you payed less for the car then you would for a gallon of gas!

Man, I took a ride in the '73 Duster on Signal Mountain, it's a Gold Duster, with roll back sunroof, 6cylinder, straight shift on the column, sounds mean! I loved the Gold metal flake, even if it was cracked. had minor rust issues those were the only body issues, the major thing it needs is bushings, and ball joints. Other than that just needed some cleaning up on the interior. I'm afraid I'll have to let this one go, since I don't want another bill, the owner will do payments, but I'd feel more comfortable paying upfront.

That's a very smart move, especially in this time. Don't worry, you'll soon be able to own your mopar...It sucks waiting, but I tell you it's an awesome feeling paying for one and not worrying about payments

I'm just stuck with this... sinking feeling, like this is the one car that got away, heh. I've been around a lot of muscle cars, with my dad and brother having a love for them (mostly Fords) but seeing this Duster, not to mention taking it for a spin, just felt like the car fit me. Know it sounds kooky lol
